The Budget Office responsibilities include the collection and reporting of information about the University's budget allocations. The office is also responsible for maintaining and monitoring personnel and operating budgets for all departments, advising departments on all questions and issues concerning budgets and providing assistance for transfers and the creation of new positions.
In addition to responsibilities for internal departmental budgets, the Budget Office prepares budget request materials required by other higher education and State governmental agencies. The Budget Office responds to questions about University operations and the University budget from the Board of Trustees, the Illinois Board of Higher Education staff, the Bureau of the Budget, and the House and Senate appropriations staffs.
